Over the years I've put so much effort into finding a proper-likable way to wrap gifts for my loved ones - but I must admit that I am not a big fan of pompous red bows and shiny paper.Since I was a little girl I loved wrapping gifts for my Secret-Santas and Valentines and I always did it my way - meaning I grabbed whatever paper was handy (Comic-strips, news paper, craft paper, clothes, brown bags ...) Then I took a piece of butcher twine or a simple cord and made a small tag to go along with it.
About 8 years ago I came across this Spanish shop called "El Portico", they pack everything in this navy blue soft paper with no bow, no twine - nothing but the tag and it looks gorgeous. That's the type of wrapping I love.
...Since this year I'm making almost 90% of all gifts hand-made I decided to make a few:
...and as I've done since this month started - I am sharing it with you!
I am obsessed with patterns, geometrical shapes and neutral colors, those are pretty much the things I'm loving this season, and so you might find these designs very plane, but, I promise you that you will never go wrong if you do it simple and beautiful.
